Deer Creek Community Park

The Deer Creek Community Park, adjacent to the former Northern Pacific Railroad depot, was started soon after World War I by the Community Club, the members of which were mothers of service men of that war. They named the small spot Community Park because they wanted it to be a recreation area for all people. The Park was leased from the Northern Pacific Railroad year by year.

The Deer Creek Community Park was enlarged in October 2018 when Gary R. and Marcene L. Collins generously donated three additional Lots to the City of Deer Creek.

In May 2019 the City planted fifteen autumn blaze maple trees on the new addition.
